About the event

This river-themed walk led by the Friends of Foots Cray Meadows starts at St James Church, North Cray and will explain the history and importance of the biodiversity of the River Cray at Foots Cray Meadows.

Meeting at 12.30pm on Sunday 1 June, we will walk to Five Arches Bridge and explore the River Cray and ponds on our way to All Saints Church, Foots Cray. Arriving by 2pm, we will join the All Saints Churchyard Wildlife Afternoon where tea and cakes will be available for a donation to the church.

The walk is free and is presented by the Friends as part of London Rivers Week with an opportunity to meet our neighbours at All Saints Church.


Children must be accompanied by an adult, and suitable clothing and footwear worn for walking alongside the river and crossing the meadows.

The walk starts at the car park of St James Church, North Cray Road, Sidcup DA14 5EQ at 12.30pm.
