About the event
The last of our Speaker Sessions in 2025 will be Harry Forshaw, Project Manager on Froglife’s new London Blue Chain project.
The London Blue Chain is an ambitious conservation project running in South London until 2027, which spans the boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Greenwich, Bromley and Bexley. The project aims jointly to serve the communities of South London and engage them in their local natural environment as well as protect and conserve the populations of amphibian and reptile species found in this area.

Alongside creating and restoring 100 new ponds, the project will be recruiting and training volunteers, organizing festivals and going in to schools, colleges and youth clubs to help inspire the next generation of conservationists.
Harry will give an overview of the project and why it is needed in South London, as well as going into detail on some of the species he and the team are looking to conserve as part of the project. He’ll also give tips on what we can all do to help the UK’s native amphibian and reptile species, and information on how to get directly involved in the project.
More information about the project can be found on the Froglife website.
